God doesn’t seek to strip us of our possessions, for He already possesses everything. Instead, He is examining the devotion within our hearts.

Scripture indicates that physical, material, and financial prosperity are not definitive signs of God’s favor, nor does suffering necessarily indicate His displeasure.
